FAQ

Pest Control FAQ

The questions we get asked most often — about safety, timing, warranty, termite work and what to expect on the day.

Before you book

Most pest control jobs are simpler than people expect. Below we've answered the questions our team takes on the phone every day. If yours isn't here, call 1800 733 222 — a real Sydney technician will pick up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your treatments safe for kids and pets?

Yes. We use APVMA-registered products applied to label rates by licensed technicians. We'll let you know if any short re-entry period applies — usually 1–2 hours for interior sprays.

How long does a standard pest treatment take?

An average 3-bedroom home takes 45–90 minutes including a quick inspection, interior application, external perimeter and roof void dust where required.

Do I need to leave the house during treatment?

Not for general pest treatments — you can stay home. For some bed bug or fumigation work we'll ask you to step out for a few hours. We confirm this when booking.

How soon will I see results?

Spiders and cockroaches start dying within hours. Full knockdown of a heavy cockroach infestation can take 7–14 days as the residual product reaches harbourages.

Should I clean before or after the treatment?

A light tidy-up before is helpful. Don't mop floors or wipe skirting boards for 14 days after treatment — it removes the residual.

Why do I still see a few pests after treatment?

Activity often increases briefly as pests are flushed from harbourages, then drops sharply within a week. If activity continues past 14 days, give us a call — your warranty has you covered.

Do you do same-day call-outs?

Yes — same-day and after-hours bookings are available across Sydney, Central Coast and Wollongong, subject to tech availability.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. All technicians are licensed by NSW Fair Trading and we carry full public liability insurance ($20M).

Do I need a termite inspection if I've never seen termites?

Yes. Australian Standard AS 3660.2 recommends an annual inspection for every property. Termites are usually well-established before they're visible.

What's the difference between a termite barrier and a baiting system?

A chemical barrier (e.g. Termidor) creates a treated zone around the home. A baiting system (e.g. Sentricon, Exterra) eliminates the colony through stations placed in-ground. Often the right answer is both — we'll recommend based on your build type.

Do you do pre-purchase building and pest inspections?

Yes — combined or separate. Reports are delivered same day or next morning, suitable for your conveyancer.

Do you service strata and commercial properties?

Yes. We service strata buildings, restaurants, cafes, warehouses, childcare, aged care and government sites with scheduled programs and food-safe documentation.
